Ouroboros - Vanitas

VANITAS is a collection of some Ouroboros outtakes from LUX ARCANA and NIGREDO sessions, some covers of Marco Grosso favourite bands (such as Black Sabbath and Depeche Mode), and some remix of old and new tracks. This release shows also some new Ouroboros guest musicians, like soprano Nona Luna and Ilaria Taroni, and old musicians involved in this project, like Claudio Dondo of Runes Order. This record show the most experimental, but also typical style, face of Ouroboros, that moves into Esoteric Dark ambient, with use of latin litanies and subliminal sounds. VANITAS is a rare and fine collection of tracks that take the listener into another world, done of sad and ancient athmospheres, into the fogs of medieval times. The main inspiration for Ouroboros sound are many and differents; from gregorian chant to Pink Floyd, through italian masters Paul Chain and Franco Battiato, and also Black Sabbath and Dead Can Dance feelings. The alchemical concept of Ouroboros try to create in music the research for Philosophical Stone, through some passages and levels.
